Team Meeting Tips
Below are a few tips for conducting your team meeting:
1. Decide which type of Team Meeting you want to conduct: * Youth Team Meeting - Your Team - Your Team + Opposing Team - Team Meeting For Local FCA or Other Sports Ministry * School Team Meeting * Weekend Tournament or League Game Team Meeting
2. Contact appropriate person to set up the team meeting: * Opposing Team Manager or Head Coach * Local FCA or Other Sports Ministry Director * School Coach, Athletic Director or Other Administrator * Tournament or League Director
3. Request the following: * Permission to conduct the team meeting * Desired date & day for the team meeting * Best time to conduct the team meeting * How much time you have for the team meeting * Best location for the team meeting * Permission to promote via flyers, signs, email, website, newsletter, etc.
4. Once permission is granted for the team meeting ... * Put together chapel service or team meeting agenda (can include ...) - Select Downloadable Baseball Team Devotional from our Website - Invite guest athlete or coach to give a testimony - Incorporate a sports ministry DVD piece (if indoors) - Share Gospel and give Invitation to accept Christ - Have attendees fill-out & hand-in response cards 5. Day of Team Meeting: * Set-up chairs, video projector, Bibles, response cards & golf pencils, etc. * Put-up signs to point people to team meeting location * Conduct the team meeting * Collect response cards, golf pencils & Bibles * Tear-down, pack-up & leave location better than you found it
6. Post-Team Meeting To-Do's: * Get follow-up resources to those who made decisions * Send thank you notes and emails to appropriate personnel * Email FCA Baseball a team meeting ministry report at rhobar@fca.org ... - Summary & highlights of chapel service or team meeting - Photos or streaming video - FCA Baseball will post report on their Facebook Page - Or you can post it on the page wall if you are a fan of the page
7. Repeat steps to conduct another team meeting
