Kirk has over 25 years of baseball experience ranging from athlete, umpire and coaching through various levels of baseball. Kirk’s passion to combine baseball and his relationship with Christ was sparked almost 5 years ago when God used him to lead one of his umpiring partners to pray to receive Christ while umpiring a high school game.
Kirk joined FCA’s Youth Baseball staff in August of 2008 on a part-time basis. Kirk graduated Baylor University in 1986…the same year that he married his beautiful wife, Lindsey (also a Baylor graduate). Lindsey is currently going back to school to fulfill her life long dream of becoming a nurse. God has given Kirk and Lindsey four wonderful children: Kambly (age 19 is a freshman at Baylor University where she is studying to become a teacher), Joshua (age 17 is a senior and has lettered two years on his high school’s varsity baseball team), Caleb (age 13 is a 7th grader and plays on the Austin Rattlers travel baseball team) and Micah (age 11 is a 5th grader and plays for the Austin Gunners travel baseball team). The Caldwells have made Austin, TX their home since 1995.
