Daron Schoenrock Head Baseball Coach · University of Memphis Attribute: Patience
Dictionary definition: "Good-natured tolerance of delay or incompetence."
My definition: “Recognizing God's timing of His will unfolding in your life."
Favorite quotes from others about Patience: “I can endure the journey because I know the destiny." Unknown
Favorite Biblical passage that deals with honesty and integrity: “And not only that, but we also rejoice in our trials, because we know that trials produce endurance, endurance produces proven character, and proven character produces hope.”
Why I chose that passage: “We are charged by God to faithfully teach His Word through our present circumstances and to have patience that our labors will bear fruit externally for His Kingdom."
Application/example of honesty and integrity in my life: “Any coaching career involves patience in player development on and off the field and patience in knowing that God has you where He desires you to be. Be a champion for Christ where you presently are!”
How I apply honesty and integrity in coaching: “The world of competitive sports causes us to want immediately, or our terms, according to our plan. Developing athletic skills requires patience, and winning our athletes to Christ requires patience. The critical factor is allowing athletes to sense your patience.
