December 24-No Room

December 24-No Room

Scripture Lesson: Luke 2:1-7

Major League baseball players stay in the best hotels on the road. Many of these hotels are 4 or 5 star deluxe hotels with each player having their own room. I had the privilege of staying at the Minnesota Twins team hotel on the team floor in Baltimore. Those rooms were amazing!

Over 2,000 years ago on this very day there was no room for Joseph and his wife Mary who was great with child in any inn in Bethlehem where they had gone to pay their taxes. So Mary gave birth to the Savior of the world Jesus Christ in a barn. Jesus’ first crib was a manger, a feeding trough for animals. Today the only room Jesus wants in our lives is to live in our hearts. May we all open our hearts this day and every day for the Lord to come and live. May we never put up a no vacancy sign on our hearts and lives for Jesus wants to live within us and through us each day!

1.      How do you know if Jesus has room in your heart?
2.      Why should you make sure each day Jesus has a place in your heart?
3.      Does He have room in your heart today?

On this Christmas eve and every day may we always have room in our hearts for Jesus so He might live in and through us each day!
