November 23-Using Gifts for Others

Scripture Lesson: 1 Peter 4:10

On this date in 1944 five groups totaling 23 players, managers, and umpires visit war areas as part of the USO program. Included are Mel Ott, Frankie Frisch, Bucky Waters, Harry Heilmann, Carl Hubbell, Leo Durocher, Joe Medwick, Dixie Walker, Paul Waner, and Rip Sewell.

Peter reminds us today that our gifts we have been given by God are to be used to serve others. We are to share God’s grace with others by serving them. Our world would indeed be a better place to live if we all used what God has blessed us with to serve others. God has blessed us with Gifts and talents to serve Him and there is no better way to serve God than to serve our fellow man!

1.      What gifts and talents do you have?
2.      How can you use those to serve God and others?
3.      Make it a priority today to serve someone else today.

May we all be on the lookout today and every day to serve others. When we serve others, God has a big smile on His face in heaven!
