Scripture Lesson: Psalm 100:1-5

On this date in 1908 Baseball’s anthem, “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” is introduced by Bill Murray. The song writing team of Albert Von Tilzer (music) and Jack Norworth (lyrics) who created the song had never seen a baseball game prior to writing the song.

Our Scripture lesson today from the Psalmist should be our daily anthem of praise to God! We are to shout to the Lord and worship Him with gladness. We need to come before Him with joyful songs. We need to know He is God and not only created us but takes care of us much like a shepherd cares for the sheep! We are to praise Him and give Him thanks for His goodness, His eternal love, and His faithfulness to all generations! What a great song of praise!

1. When is the last time we praised God?
2. When is the last time we truly thanked Him for being our Creator and Sustainer?
3. How has God shown His faithfulness and love to you?

Every baseball fan knows “Take Me Out to the Ballgame”. Every believer should know and practice daily Psalm 100!

Having a special baseball anthem is a nice thing.
Greetings from germany:
We took the melody of the US Anthem and made our own baseball anthem of the saints,
to honor God and the game.
