November 17-Sin

Scripture Lesson: 1 John 3:7-10

On this date in 1983, Willie Wilson, Willie Mays Aiken, and Jerry Martin become the first active players ever to be sent to prison for drug violations. The judge hands down three-month sentences to the players from the Royals for attempting to purchase cocaine.

John reminds us today in our Scripture lesson that sin is from Satan, plain and simple! The thing that pleases Satan the most is seeing a Christian sin. When a Christian sins and keeps sinning, that person is not usable by God! Praise God today that we have overcome Satan by what Jesus did for us on the cross. We can be forgiven and restored to full fellowship with God! We must be on guard against Satan and sin! To be God’s child we must live right and love!

1.      Thank God right now for providing forgiveness for your sins.
2.      Confess any sin in your life to Him and ask for forgiveness.
3.      What does it mean to live right and love?

We are so blessed to be loved by God as much as we are!
